One of my favorite things in real estate is helping a first-time home buyer find a home that fits their lifestyle now, with the intent of renting it later. So many young people think that homeownership is unobtainable–that they can’t save enough money for the down payment or that it’s not worth it if they plan to move out of the area or into a larger home in a few years. These are valid concerns, but not deal breakers. I work with great local lenders who are able to recommend low down payment financing options. And I can help you find a location where the rental market for your choice of home type is thriving. When I bought my first home in college, I wasn’t thinking about investing. I was thinking about what I could afford at that moment. But I was fortunate in that the home I chose happens to be very desirable in the rental market and I happened to put enough money down that my mortgage was low enough to be covered by what I could demand in rent. I am so grateful for that now, and I really enjoy helping people build their own real estate investment portfolio. Civilian, military, just out of college or settled in your career- I’d love to help you get started (or find your next one)!
